House Textures

  • -Hello everyone I hope that you are all doing well. My progress in the group this week is I started doing the textures for the main house. I started by making the uvs and then putting multiple uvs in the same tile to bring certain pieces together. I also started all of the substance painter projects and baked out texture maps as well as do more research about how I should make the house look, My plan is to start coloring it soon and figuring all that out. I do feel a little bit better about the contribution that I am making to the group because this is an important task. Another thing that my group as a whole did is we separated the animation out a bit more so that it is more even. Our goal is to get the whole film animated even if it's just blocking animation. This will help our group because we can now see what is working for the film and what is not working for the film. This project has honestly been a roller coaster but I feel that we are making good progress toward the film and that we will reach our goals with the film. Our artist started a rough draft of the poster as well and I feel like it's going to look great based on the design. Anyways yeah my plan is to start coloring the house and put it into unreal to see how it works with our filter which is super exciting. After that I will need to explore the main drive for the trees that I made for the film and see what I can gather, since my drive had all of it before, I need to edit the trees color-wise to better fit the style. So I plan on doing that and I plan on starting on the animation that I have to block out which I hope to have done by March 16th. Another thing that I need to do that I personally feel like I have been procrastinating is to fill out the list of assets and where everything it at this point now that we are in March.
